Struktur Komunitas Artropoda pada Ecosistem Padi dengan dan Tanpa Aplikasi Pestisida Kimia di Kota Gorontalo

Abstract: The aim of this research was to study the structure of community of
arthropods in rice ecosystem with and without chemical pesticide. The research
was carried from June 2007 until September 2007 in Gorontalo city. The
research has been done in the lowland ricefield with application chemical
pesticide and without application chemical pesticide. Observation was started
when the plant (local variety) was 10 days old after transplanting with interval
of 10 days until one week before harvest, to collect the arthropods done using
net insect. The results showed that four arthropod groups, was found that is Pest,
Predators, parasites and Neutral Arthropods. On the ricefield without application
chemical pesticide consisted of Pest 43%, Predators 11%, and Parasitoids 3%
and Neutral Arthropod 44% by 33 total spesies. While the ricefield with
application chemical pesticide, pest 49%, Predators 11%, Parasitoids 3% and
Neutral Arthropod 36% by 26 total spesies. The diversity index (H’) in the
ricefield without application chemical pesticide ranged from 0,87 to 2,15 and in
the ricefield with application chemical pesticide 0,19 to 1,89. The families of
Agromyzidae, Culicidae, and Tomycidae were only found in rice ecosystem
without application chemical pesticide and don’t found in rice ecosystem with
application chemical pesticide.
