Abstract. Forest conservation area, include Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park has many disturbances that impact degraded forest area. The research aims were to study household characteristic, perception, and
participation of local community toward restoration activity of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park forest area. Research method that used in this research was survey research method that was through interview by
using questionaire, field observation, and literature study. The results show that Ciputri villagers and Cihanyawar villagers generally have household characteristics at lower class, the good perception of restoration activity at Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park forest area, and they have participated in restoration activity of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park forest area.
