Analisis Metode Efektif Penghasil Vitamin A (1-Karoten) dalam VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil)

Abstracts: Pure palm oil or VCO (virgin coconut oil) is palm oil with MCFA (medium chain fatty acid) that can change metabolism of higher level, burns more calories. Intention of this research is for a) knows possibility that component content -Carotene which there is in VCO that processing with a few processing method b) knows processing method of VCO which most effective in maintaining content -carotene, c) knows quality of physical of VCO which is best seen from some indicator observation. Method of this research done in a few procedure steps, that is: a) processing procedure with sentrifugation method (mechanical), fermentation and warm up method in phase, b) Preparation procedure of sample which will be analysed with HPLC method and e) Analysis procedure to resulting the best physical quality of VCO. The analysis data using completely randomized design. Result obtained from third of processing method of VCO average of yield rate of -carotene < 0.15 mg/100 g material. This number obtained by minimum boundary
detected equipment HPLC applied is 0.15 mg/100 g VCO. On that account measurement rate of return of rate VCO -carotene cannot be analysed by possibility doesn’t have content -carotene. Coloured VCO
with fermentation method is having colour rather brass. Flavor quality with fermentation process is like acid. Rendement VCO from third processing method averages of much the same to however at VCO which
processing with fermentationmethod yields rendemen 45%. From third of processing method based on observation subjectively, processing method in yield quality of best physical compared to two other processing methods.
